Jade care
A little care preserves its quiet lustre. Gently wipe the jade with a soft cloth lightly dampened with lukewarm water. For residue, use a little mild soap, then wipe clean and dry.
Protect from hard knocks, abrasive surfaces, heat and harsh chemicals. Avoid soaking the finished piece or using ultrasonic and steam cleaners. Store separately in a soft pouch.
Metal care
Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Put jewellery on after perfume and lotions have dried. Remove before showering, swimming, exercise and sleep; keep away from sanitiser and household cleaners.
For gold-plated finishes, avoid silver polish, abrasive cloths and vigorous rubbing. The gold layer may gradually wear with use. Store each piece dry and separately. For deeper cleaning, consult a jeweller familiar with both the stone and setting.
